Story
NE Youth & Family Services (NEYFS) is committed to empowering generations by providing access and support to children, youth, and their families in Northeast Spokane.
We connect children, youth, and families to resources in the community by:
- Identifying all of the resources available for children, youth, and families in Northeast Spokane.
- Collaborating with organizations and families to identify potential and existing barriers to accessing those services.
- Facilitate programs to help eliminate those barriers.
Help us reach our goal of $55,000 to support our Youth programs serving the NE Spokane community.
NEYFS 2022-2023 Review:
- Spring / Summer: Built & Opened Community Closet & Food Pantry
- Summer: Began renovation on new center, The Creativity Project, on Mission Ave in the Chief Garry Neighborhood
- Summer/Fall: Opened Fully Functioning Podcast Studio, Video Recording Studio, & Computer Lab
- Summer/Fall: Implemented Behavioral Health Services at 4 Child Care Centers through Revisions Counseling
- Late Summer: Transitioned to new Executive & Assistant Directors & Expanded our Board
- September: First Board Meeting with New Board Members at The Creativity Project
- September: First Chief Garry Park Neighborhood Council Meeting at The Creativity Project
- Fall Semester: Implemented On-Site Screening Clinics at 7 NE Spokane Child Care Centers
- Fall: Secured partnership with CMTV / CME & Tech Lab
- Fall/Winter: Secured Partnerships & Ongoing support from 2nd Harvest, SPS, MCOC, Excelsior, Chief Garry Community Garden, Avista, and other local organizations to start & sustain The Creativity Project
- Fall/Winter: Finalized Logo & Branding for The Creativity Project
- Winter: Began Transportation Services for Parkview ELC & After School Programs
- January 2023: Soft opening of The Creativity Project
- Winter 2023: Launch Youth Program
